CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
|
| We believe the church is foremost a spiritual body. A person does not "join a church" like you would a service club. A person who places his personal faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior is born anew spiritually. He is born into Christ's body - the church. Therefore, a prerequisite for joining Broadview is a personal love relationship with God through Jesus Christ. |
HOW CAN I JOIN? |
| By making a decision to follow Christ and submitting to baptism by immersion
By having made a decision to follow Christ previously. One is now ready to submit to believer's baptism by immersion.
By transferring a letter from another Baptist church in which one is saying, "I have been saved and baptized by immersion in another Baptist church."
By stating that one has been saved by faith in Jesus Christ and after his confression was baptized by immersion in water by a local church.

WHEN CAN I JOIN? |
WORSHIP SERVICES
At the close of each service we have an invitation. If you are led by God's Spirit to join Broadview:
|
| |
You can come to the front and express your decision to the pastor.
You can indicate your decision on the back of the tear-off in the worship guide and place it in the offering plate. Someone will follow up with you at your convenience. |
PERSONAL APPOINTMENT
If you would like the pastor or a staff member to discuss church membership please call the church office (692-2360) for an appointment or use the tear-off in the worship guide. |
NEW MEMBER CLASS
The pastor periodically teaches a new member class. It is designed to communicate who we are and how we do church. At the end of the class an opportunity to join is given. |
WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM MEMBERS? |
|
Adults age 18 and up are expected to attend a new member class.
The church grows larger and smaller at the same time by everyone being a part of a small group Sunday School class.
Every Christian is gifted to serve. Adults are expected to discover their gift and passion with help from church leaders so they can begin to serve in their God-called ministry.
Each member is expected to support the church so the church can fulfill her God-given mission. |
